I bought my first drum set brand new in 1967. It's a Ludwig kit with a Champagne Sparkle finish and I still take those drums to most gigs. When I feel like I need more horsepower in my sound, I use my larger, natural maple drums by Drum Workshop. For really small venues, I may use my 1970 Gretsch kit (actually built at the now-defunct Walberg & Auge factory with Gretsch parts) or even my old Slingerland cocktail kit.

I have used and endorsed Silver Fox drum sticks since 2002.
